Vi designer, udvikler, producerer og leverer møbler samt specialinventar til private og offentlige virksomheder.
Vi skaber funktionelle og smukke indretninger, der understøtter kundens identitet, og leder projektet sikkert gennem hele processen – fra den første rådgivning og konceptudvikling til den færdige leverance og montering.
Vi arbejder sammen med en lang række førende arkitekter og møbelleverandører, har vores egen møbelkollektion og er samtidig specialister i at designe og producere skræddersyet inventar på vores egen tegnestue Paustian Special Inventar (tidligere po Inventar).
Med Paustian special inventar råder vi over unikke kompetencer inden for specialdesignet inventar. Vores møbeldesign-, arkitektur-, og indretningsfaglighed betyder, at vi altid laver løsninger der passer til og understøtter det fysiske miljø og bygningens arkitektur – og altid i høj kvalitet med fokus på både funktion og design.
Samarbejder med tegnestuer og arkitekter
På vores egen tegnestue arbejder bl.a. møbelarkitekter og bygningskonstruktører, der i tæt dialog med de øvrige samarbejdspartnere, kunden og dennes ønsker til farver, materialer og formsprog, sikrer den bedste præcision og kvalitet af leverancen.
Om Paustian Special Inventar
Paustian Special Inventar (tidligere po inventar) har rødder tilbage til 1972, hvor inventarsystemet blev tegnet i et samarbejde mellem Københavns Universitet og arkitektfirmaerne Koppel, Koppel & Edstrand og KHR Arkitekter til to universitetsbyggerier, nemlig Panum Instituttet og Odense Universitet. Efter byggeriets færdiggørelse blev det besluttet, at retten til systemet skulle overgives til en prodcent, således at indkøb af suppleringsinventar kunne sikres fremadrettet.
Således grundægges po inventar A/S i 1990, der i 2011 bliver opkøbt af Paustian.
Paustian special inventar er blandt de førende specialister og leverandører af specialfremstillet inventar. Da de projekter, vi arbejder med, ofte er omfattende og præget af stor kompleksitet med mange forskellige materialer og produktionsformer, råder vi over egne produktionsfaciliteter på Paustian Snedkeri . Vi har samtidigt gennem mange år oparbejdet faste samarbejder med et netværk af nøje udvalgte leverandører, hver med sit speciale, så vi altid kan vælge den rigtige producent til en given opgave.
Paustian Snedkeri og danske underleverandører
Paustian samarbejder primært med danske underleverandører og sikrer derved, at produktionen er i overensstemmelse med de danske miljøregler. En anden, og vigtig fordel, ved denne fremgangsmåde, er den korte kommunikationsvej og muligheden for løbende kvalitetskontrol.
Som en del af Paustian har vi desuden eget snedkeri i Grenaa, som udfører alt inden for træmøbelindustrien, og hvor en stor del af Paustian Furniture Collection produceres. Dette produktions setup sætter os i stand til at håndtere kapacitetsudfordringer, og sikrer samtidig frihed til at samarbejde med de underleverandør, der er bedst egnet til den pågældende opgave.

PAUSTIAN V/ STRØGET!
In 1985 Ole Paustian invited the world famous architect Jørn Utzon to design a showroom building on the Copenhagen waterfront as an extension to one of his warehouses. Jørn Utzon sent design sketches to his sons Jan and Kim who produced final drawings and construction plans. The building was completed in 1987.
Inspiration for the design came to Utzon while he was walking through a forest of beech trees. In his own words: “Walking in a Danish beech forest is like going through a hall of pillars. This hall of pillars dissolves into branches and into a leafy crown represented by the roof. The airy, three-storey building with extensive exhibition space is indeed reminiscent of a forest. Standing on the edge of the harbour, its external pillars give it a temple-like appearance. Inside, tall white fan-topped columns stretch up to the ceiling where they are connected by geometrical archways. Jørn Utzon’s daughter Lin contributed to the interior decoration including the blue tiling along the wooden staircases.
Jørn Utzon’s son Kim, who helped with the original plans, went on to expand the complex in 2010 with two new buildings housing a restaurant as well as extensions to the showrooms.

PAUSTIAN V/ STRØGET
December 2018, Paustian opened a state of the art design universe in the center of Copenhagen in a beautiful building that once housed one of Denmarks oldest banks (Sparekassen for Kjøbenhavn og omegn) that dates back to 1868.
The concept store in Niels Hemmingsens Gade 24 is a design universe that brings together both Danish and International design classics and contemporary design in the old high-ceilinged location that have been carefully restored. The store has been designed by Paustians in-house design team in collaboration with Helle Flou design studio.
Located in Strøget, a pedestrianised shopping area at the heart of Copenhagen, the store comes part of Paustians move to be more accessible for the customers.

The Paustian Spinal series consists of a whole series of tables and chairs designed by Paul Leroy for Paustian. With its light and simple expression, combined with many choices, the Paustian Spinal series is a great choice for both home and office.
PAUSTIAN SPINAL CHAIR 44
Paustian Spinal Chair 44 has a sleek and international expression and provides an excellent and very comfortable meeting, conference, or dining room chair. With its many variants, the Spinal Chair can meet any need.
The chair is delivered in standard height with runner-legs or with swivel base with or without high back, armrests and castors; in counter height with runner-legs; and in bar height with runner-legs or swivel base. The runner-legs version in standard height is stackable up to 5 chairs. Runner-legs in chrome or powder coated in black.
PAUSTIAN SPINAL CHAIR 80
The low fully padded shell chair with the simple design is perfect as easy chair at home, in reception or hotel lobby areas.
It may, depending on the choice of upholstery, change the appearance of the ultra-tight and elegant to the more colorful and expressive.

PAUSTIAN SPINAL TABLE
Paustian Spinal Table has a simple and light expression along with the many variations and combinations ideal as a conference table, a cafeteria table, a meeting room table or desk, or as a dining table or coffee table in a home.
The tabletop is available in wood, linoleum or laminate. The frame is supplied in matt chrome steel with integrated adjustable feet. Besides matt chrome steel the columns are available with powder lacquer black or powder lacquer white.
PAUSTIAN SPINAL EXTENSION TABLE
Spinal Table with extension has a synchronized pull-out system that facilitates one-man usage also with the bigger size. The design of the frame makes it possible to place numerous chairs without the inconvenience of bothersome table legs. It is available in two sizes with tabletop laminate or linoleum in either rectangular or boatshape form. The frame is supplied in matt chrome steel with integrated adjustable feet. Besides matt chrome steel the columns are available with powder lacquer black or powder lacquer white.

2R Cabinet System
2R CABINET BY 2R RASMUSSEN & ROLFF
The 2R Cabinet System is a series of storage units with a clear and simple design idiom suitable for office environments or the home.
The unit’s simple modular structure allows innumerable combinations. The doors and drawers have magnetic catches and are free of handles, emphasising the cabinet’s stylish appearance.
The units are available in serveral surfaces and in ten standard colors: white, black, antracite, nude, blue, dark olive, dark green, earth grey, mushroom and orange.
A simple and stylish cabinet system with body in two module widths and shelving and doors with or without fronts, in several alternate surfaces and colours. Available with plinth or wall-mounting brackets.
The cabinet consists of a body in MDF with a 45-degree bevelled edge, with shelving in painted or veneered MDF and solid front edge. Doors and drawers in aluminium or veneer, or painted.
2R RASMUSSEN & ROLFF
Leif Erik Rasmussen (1942) and Henrik Rolff (1944) both finished training as furniture designers at the Danish Design School in 1968. The two designers mainly dealt with the needs of the workplace based on ergonomic considerations.
They have created many beautiful, thorough and well thought through pieces of office furniture, which today are part of many offices.
In 1982 they won the Danish prize ‘Møbelprisen’, one of the oldest and biggest prizes within furniture design in Denmark, for their storage system Paustian Cabinet System. It was originally developed as a storage system that would complement the Alvar Aalto chairs and tables.
Since then, Rasmussen & Rolff have designed several pieces of furniture for Paustian and other well known brands.

Paustian Collection
PAUSTIAN MODULAR SOFA
Paustian Modular Sofa was designed in 1969, and by virtue of its unique ability to change expression all according to its upholstery, it remains both classic and contemporary to this day.
The sofa’s minimalist design idiom helps to emphasize the surrounding architecture and can produce an almost sculptural effect. With its clean cut but very sculptural design and comfortable seating, the sofa is ideal for the home as well as the office.
The sofa consists of straight and corner sofa modules, as well as a pouffe, all of which can be combined to create exactly the sofa you would like. The sofa can be easily modified, expanded or divided when new needs arise. The modules can even be turned in opposite directions.
Sculptural and minimalist, the Paustian Modular Sofa is both contemporary and classic.
ARCTANDER COLLECTION
Paustian Furniture Collection is adding to its impressive roster of modern furniture classics with an exclusive relaunch of ‘Muslingestolen’ from 1944. The Arctander Collection features a sofa, a table and an ottoman.
The collection is a part of Paustian Furniture Collection, featured alongside a curated selection of modern design classics by prominent Danish designers.
New fabrics include Amoir Libre from Dedar Milano, Storr from Bute Fabrics and an authentic hand woven fabric from McNutt. The collection is still offered in the familiar sheepskin from Skandilock and the Nordic Swan Ecolabel hide, Dunes, from Sørensen Leather. A brand new edition in Gotland Sheepskin from SIPO is available in limited numbers. The Arctander Table is available in a wood base with a table-top in a variety of exclusive stones. All wood variants are FSC-certified.
ENSEMBLE

Paustian Ensemble – a modular sofa, a lounge chair and coffee tables designed by Theresa Rand.
The Ensemble sofa consists of eight different sofa modules, that can be combined in many ways – as corner sofas, 2-seater sofa, 3-seater sofa, with rounded sides or with an integrated ottoman, etc.
The Ensemble sofa is complemented by a lounge chair and 3 coffee tables that are all reflecting the expression of the sofa.
The idea behind the Ensemble sofa was to wrap comfort in elegance and a light expression. The Ensemble sofa is flexible and customizable without having a bulky look. The rounded edge elements and the ottoman have the shape of a half-circle, which gives the sofa a more curvy, cosy, and inviting appearance. It is playing with basic geometrical shapes but has a soft feel.
The name Ensemble refers to one of the meanings of the word in French: TOGETHER.

Paustian ASAP is a series of chairs and tables designed for Paustian by the skilled Danish designers Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen.
The ASAP chair is designed for use at the dining table in the home, in restaurants, in the meeting-room or canteen at work, or indeed anywhere where it is desirable to have an elegant and useful chair in a contemporary idiom with great strength and durability. The shape of the frame and the padded seat provide a high degree of comfort, both aesthetically and ergonomically.
The ASAP Table is well suited for both modern and more classical surroundings. The tables can be used in the home, in restaurants, in the meeting-room or canteen at work, or indeed anywhere where it is desirable to have an elegant and useful chair in a contemporary idiom with great strength and durability.
PAUSTIAN GARDEN SET

The Paustian Garden Set is a popular outdoor classic, designed by the Danish duo Henrik Rolff and Leif Rasmussen.
The Garden Set is despite its age still current. It is made from sustainable FLEGT certified teak wood, which ensures a long durability.
The Garden Set is made from massive teak planks and has a frame of galvanized steel tubing. The tabletop, which is a bit longer than the benches, makes it possible to place the garden sets in continuation of each other or to add a chair in both ends of the garden set. In this way, 8 people, instead of 6, can be seated.
Paustian Garden Set can be used both in the garden at home, at companies or in public spaces and is a simple solution, that uses a minimum of space. Bench and a table in one – simple and functional!
The Garden Set can stay outside all year, which only makes it even more beautiful.

The Paustian work series consists of a multi-size workbench, a wheeled drawer box, multi-size meeting and conference tables as well as an individually tailored storage system.

Paustian & Paustian Furniture Collection proudly presents Spinal Table Home Work; a new and smaller version of the Danish architect and designer Paul Leroy’s classic Spinal Table made specifically for the workspace at home. We know that every home is unique and that is why we have created a contemporary alternative to the well-known height-adjustable work table. Spinal Table Home Work measures from 120 x 70 cm up to 160 x 80 cm for the rectangular table top and 148 x 72 cm for the organically shaped version making it an ideal fit for most homes.
Spinal Table Home Work is the latest addition to Paustian & Paustian Furniture Collection’s popular Spinal-series; a series of chairs and tables designed for both home and work.
Spinal Table is both beautiful and functional in its simplicity and with the addition of the smaller Spinal Table Home Work, it is also more flexible than ever. SOFT COLLECTION

Paustian SOFT is a collection of throws and pillows designed exclusively for Paustian by Danish textile designer Helene Blanche.
The collection takes its point of departure in the classic ‘horse cloth’ textile, that the founder of Paustian, Ole Paustian, started using back in the 1960’s in interiors and for furniture – and by the way was the inspiration for the iconic Paustian Modular Sofa from 1969.
The SOFT collection is woven in pure baby alpaca wool from Peru. Using a minimalistic and sophisticated take, Helene Blanche has redefined the softly textured throws by creating two new patterns, “Stripes” and “Plain“, while still maintaining the classic “Checks”. All three designs in the SOFT collection emit classic elegance and have a simple, yet luxurious feel. The throws are suitable for use in a wide variety of interiors and work beautifully together in a multitude of combinations due to the subtle colour scheme, which emanates freshness, yet establishes an emotional depth. The patterns have a modern look with an artisan finish, the substance of which becomes exceptionally clear when the patterns are viewed and used together.
Using a minimalistic and sophisticated take, Helene Blanche has redefined the classic ‘horse cloth’ textile by creating two new patterns, “Stripes” and “Plain”, while still maintaining the classic “Checks”.
In 2017 Mirror Mirror 180, a range of flat glass mirrors, was launched. With the three new glass mirrors, a circular mirror and to elongated – one full body – Paustian adds function and elegance to the Mirror Mirror series.

Hos Paustian er vi specialister i at skabe indretningsløsninger, der formidler, understøtter og udfolder vores kunders identitet. Fra den indledende dialog til det sidste møbel er placeret, garanterer Paustian tæt dialog og sikkerhed gennem alle projektets faser.
Vi varetager alle typer opgaver, hvad enten I har behov for en komplet nyindretning eller blot er på udkig efter en mindre opdatering af en eksisterende erhvervsindretning.
Indretningsteamet i København og Aarhus spænder vidt i alder, baggrund og kompetancer og rummer mange kreative ”personalities”. Fælles for dem alle er deres store engagement, passion for design og professionelle tilgang til opgaverne.
Paustians indretningsteam består af en række dedikerede indretnings- og møbelarkitekter, som med mange års erfaring har hver deres spidskompetence indenfor indretningsfeltet.

Paustian work File Pedestal er designet til at indgå i work serien og komplementerer Paustian work Desk.
Skuffekassen har tre skuffer i to højder, hvor man let opbevarer kontorartikler, dokumenter og personlige ejendele. De fire for-monterede hjul er alle med bremse, som sikrer at skuffekassen står stabilt. Skuffekassen kan også fås med centrallås.
